Priscilla Anany was born in Ghana and grew up in two other African countries: Nigeria and Togo. She attended the University of North Carolina School of the Art School of Filmmaking and got a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts. Priscilla later earned a Masters of Science degree in communications at The New York University while she worked as an independent filmmaker. Her filmography includes Children of the Mountain (2015), Korji (2013), The Nightmare Hour (2011), Old Song (2010), Drums of Amura (2009) and Water (2003). Anany is an advocate of women’s empowerment and likes to tell stories about women and their strengths.
